Carnival.

Experience the fifth season in the Rhineland

Carnival in the Rhineland is so much more than just dressing up a bit and parading through the streets. For months on end – if not the whole year – many people in the Rhineland eagerly look forward to the best time of the year.

But it’s not just the people of the Rhineland who appreciate the fifth season. Visitors from all over the world come to the beautiful Rhineland for Carnival. Whether it’s the ‘Altweiber’ parades, the small neighbourhood parades or the grand ‘Rosenmontag’ processions: it’s a time of year best spent in the Rhineland.

And whether you’re from Berlin or Birmingham, a DJH City Hostel is always a great base for Carnival in the Rhineland. Whether you’re on your own or in a small group, whether you say ‘Helau’ or ‘Alaaf’, we’ve got a lovely spot for you to enjoy the Carnival.

As well as the DJH City Hostels, the other youth hostels in the Rhineland also offer the ideal place to stay during your trip to one of the Rhineland’s Christmas markets. All the hostels feature comfortable, modern rooms in a relaxed atmosphere.
